LADY SINGS THE BLUES – THE 3RD ANNUAL SIREN NATION BILLIE HOLIDAY TRIBUTE NIGHT (W/Ross Seligman)

April 25, 2009
7:00 pmto11:00 pm

On Saturday, April 25th at 7 PM some of Portland’s finest female vocalists will sing the songs that Billie Holiday made famous. I’ll be singing a few of my favorites accompanied by Ross Seligman (Echo Helstrom, Echo Jazz Trio) on guitar. Also appearing that evening – Stephanie Schneiderman, Cari Bella, Myshkins Ruby Warblers, and more. This is a benefit at the new Mississippi Studios for Siren Nation – a unique arts organization that showcases and creates performance and exhibition opportunities for women throughout the year.

Mississippi Studios
$12 advance, $15 day of show

  • WOW! What a voice! I’m making a trip to Portland for this! I used to help you and your husband at “the Limited” in the 80′s and was always very fond of the two of you. You were pretty conservative and John liked wild shirts. Congrats to you, so good to HEAR from you again. I’ve lived in Seattle the last 20 years and have always missed the live music scene in Portland. It was just not the same in Seattle. My brother sent this link to me just out of the blue. He also has moved to the Seattle area and I think we both felt warm, a sense of pride and a little homesick . You brought a joyful tear to my eye. Keep up the good work! Warmly, Patrice Doerr
